A Trip Down Memory Lane

Today I was doing one of my 6 mile routes with my pacer. When I got halfway I randomly turned down a street that was part of the Salt Lake Marathon route 2 years ago. I have not ran down this road since that race. I remember I woke up that morning and it was raining so stinkin' hard. I was already soaked before the marathon began. It was a freezing cold rain also. My Ipod would not stay in my ears due the rain. I gave it to my mother-in-law at about halfway. By the end of the race though it had stopped raining but was still freezing cold. I got a PR at that race actually. It is always fun to run somewhere with a memory attached. To bad that road was not actually called Memory Lane huh?
That year the SL marathon was cool because it was the first national race after the Boston Marathon terrorist attack. The attack happened 4 days before. there were people at the SL marathon who had ran the Boston Marathon that week. It was a pretty cool race to be apart of.
Daily Mileage = 6.2
Yearly Mileage = 247.6
The starting line for the 2013 SL marathon

My name is on this. I think you can see it on the left if you squint.

Brought in the big dogs to this race. I think it was probably the first race they had to be at.

Good race. To bad it cost you an arm and two legs to do.
